The Embassy of Haiti in Washington, D.C. is the diplomatic mission of the Republic of Haiti to the United States. Since 2012, the Embassy embarked on a mission to change the narrative of Haiti, and reorient the discussion away from charity to Haiti as an economic and investment destination under the leadership of Ambassador Paul Altidor. In order to do this, the Embassy hosts a number of programs, events and meetings annually to (i) promote and reinforce bilateral ties with the United States; (ii) deepen cooperation and dialogue with international organizations and development financial institutions; (iii) attract foreign direct investment to Haiti while supporting the Haitian private sector; (iv) strengthen and streamline services for Haitian Citizens; (v) showcase Haiti’s culture through the promotion of tourism, cultural events and education exchanges; and (vi) enhance the Embassy’s outreach services. The Embassy is now under the leadership of Ambassador Hervé H. Denis as the new Chargé d’Affaires. The Embassy plans to continue the ongoing initiatives.
