On Friday, June 30, 2018, the Embassy of Haiti in Washington, DC hosted a diverse group of media personalities from the broadcasting sector for a Happy Hour experience at the Chancery.

The guests included broadcast journalists and media executives from WTTG Fox 5, WJLA ABC 7, WRC-TV NBC 4, CNN, WUSA-9, WPGC 95.5, The Beat DC, cast members of Real Housewives of Potomac, and more.

Warmly welcomed with a Haiti-inspired signature cocktail and hors d’oeuvres curated by Chef Don Berto from Port-au-Prince Haitian Cuisine restaurant, the guests experienced a glimpse of Haiti through the delectables, music, art and intimate conversations.

Mr. Paul Altidor, Haiti’s Ambassador to the U.S. began the evening with a guided tour of the Embassy’s latest exhibits and seized the opportunity to share the country’s significance and contribution in the advancement of our global society. While exploring each of the majestic and regal rooms of the Chancery, the Ambassador expanded on the elegance and richness of the culture that is not so often broadcasted. The Embassy was pleased to have opened its doors to reintroduce Haiti and reconnect with one of the valuable and influential groups in our society.
