Day 2 | May 16

Food & Folklore Presents Haitian Culinary Tradition with Chef Nadege Fleurimond

Centered on the Embassy’s larger mission to utilize Haiti’s cuisine as a tool for diplomacy, this dinner series held at Mulebone Restaurant incorporated a lively conversation between Andy Sallal and Nadege Fleurimond, Haitian culinary expert and author. This interweaving of dialogue and delectable gastronomy which guests partook in that evening takes its inspiration from the brand of hospitality promoted by Zora Neale Hurston, another celebrated African American writer who also spent some time in Haiti.
