For the authentication of a document for Haiti, all foreign nationals must proceed as follows:
- Present the document before a Notary Public;
- Authenticate the Notary Public’s signature by the Secretary of State of the state where the notary resides;
- Authenticate by the State Department of the United States of America the signature or stamp of the Office of the Secretary of State previously obtained; and
- Submit the document to the Consular Section of the Embassy of Haiti.
The fee for authentication of foreign documents is US $25 payable by money order or bank check made out to the Embassy of Haiti.
