For the authentication of a document for Haiti, all foreign nationals must proceed as follows:

  1. Present the document before a Notary Public;
  2. Authenticate the Notary Public’s signature by the Secretary of State of the state where the notary resides;
  3. Authenticate by the State Department of the United States of America the signature or stamp of the  Office of the Secretary of State previously obtained; and 
  4. Submit the document to the Consular Section of the Embassy of Haiti.

The fee for authentication of foreign documents is US $25 payable by money order or bank check made out to the Embassy of Haiti.
